On Philosophy ~

The philosopher says,

"I am free!"

Yet even these words bind him!

Declaring anything corrupts the truth behind the explaination where transcendent freedom takes on the form of explanation.

Only philosophy brings to man

His own understanding of God.

This type of understanding would only be mental. When God is felt in other ways, a man calls this existence (his life here on earth, for example). This book is philosophical since it is directed at the mind (the mind is reading it) - this book brings the nature and meaning of Self/God to the mind. Otherwise a man must live his life out - experiencing God as his life.
